Board Meetings
Purpose:
The purpose of the Board is serve as the decision-making entity for all Schoolhouse policies on an international level.
Structure:
As of June 30 2000, the Board of Directors of The 21st Century Schoolhouse shall be made up of an equal representation of one person representing each of the regions the current Schoolhouse schools are located in.
Duties:
- Board members shall keep advised of activities and policies of the Schoolhouse
through the Executive Director and the Executive Council.
- Board members shall meet virtually or physically for decision making at a minimum
of once per year or more often as is advised by the Executive Council.
Terms:
The term limit for board members shall be established by the individual school/region. It is suggested that each board member sit on the Board for a minimum of one year. Should a board member retire form the board, that individual shall make it known to the other board members, the Executive Director and the Executive Council, along with plans for selection of the replacing board member.
Chairperson:
The Board Chair shall be the Director from Australia until the new Board meets to determine the term limit and selection process.
