Purpose:
The purpose of the Executive Director is to serve as the chief executive officer of the international non-profit organization known as The 21st Century Schoolhouse.

Terms:
The Board of Directors shall employ the Executive Director for a 4-year term. There is no limit on numbers of consecutive terms served. Should the Executive Director resign from duty, that individual shall notify the Board of Directors in writing, and continue to serve as Director until the Board selects a new Director at their next regular board meeting.

Duties: The Executive Director shall communicate via email or chat on a regular and continual basis with the members of the Executive Council and the Board of Directors.

• The Executive Director shall oversee all external communications of the non-profit organization. *
• The Executive Director shall oversee all financial and fundraising operations of the non-profit organization. *
• The Executive Director shall oversee all publicity regarding the non-profit organization. *
• The Executive Director shall assist the Executive Council in overseeing the implementation, progression and evaluation of all Schoolhouse activities.
• The Executive Director shall provide reports to the Board of Directors and make recommendations on policy.

* The communications, publicity, finances and fundraising of individual schools within the Schoolhouse for the Schoolhouse project shall be under the jurisdiction of the individual school. Information regarding these areas can be shared with the Executive Director for the purposes of monitoring a school's needs and progress within the Schoolhouse.
