What can a Teenager do?

by Gabe Gonzalez

Being a teenager in the United States is pretty easy, but there are many environmental and teen issues that we can work on in our communities. We can work on all sorts of pollution problems such as water pollution, air pollution, acid rain, etc. Some of our teen issues are pregnancy, drugs and gangs. I guess being a teenager is not so easy because there are still a lot of issues we need to deal with world wide.

I'm 16, living in Woodburn, Oregon for about four years. I think we can do a lot more around our community. I think we need to build more shelters for homeless people and have better school education. When walking around my neighborhood I have to look at people suffering from drugs, or maybe just lonely and they need to get out of it somehow. Maybe we can accomplish that little by little.

Until then, hope to see you at the summit.
